Oops, New York City tabs nearly come up with the same headline: ‘I’m With The Perv’

The Post and Daily News almost share a headline word-for-word, though the Murdoch tab is generally more supportive of the president than the Daily News, which has enjoyed making fun of Donald Trump since well before the election

The two New York City tabloids rare agree on much. One is owned by Rupert Murdoch and so supports the GOP and is hawkish, the other used to be owned by Mort Zuckerman before being sold to tronc, and is generally more liberal.

Both papers, though, have used the mayor as a punching bag, and supported his opponent in the recent election, though DeBlasio won by a comfortable margin.

Today, the tabs found something else in common: their headlines describing the president’s endorsement of Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore were rather similar. Or should we say, almost word for word.

Despite the two front pages, neither paper is making that big a deal out of the endorsement as there is simply more news this morning.

The president, for instance, continued his war of words against the father of one of the UCLA players accused of shoplifting in China, going on Twitter early this morning. Both papers love that one. As they do Trump’s war of words with the NFL.

Guess one thing we can be grateful for this Thanksgiving is that the president loves war of words, but has not as of yet nuked North Korea or an NFL stadium.
