Score Publishing, producer of iBA Conference, acquires Digital Book World event from F+W Media

The first Digital Book World conference to be held under the new ownership will be on October 2-4, 2018, in Nashville, and fold existing iBooks Author Conference into event

The publishing and events company Score Publishing announced that it had acquired the Digital Book World publishing conference. The announcement was made at the company’s iBooks Author Conference being held in Nashville, with a more public announcement scheduled for Monday.

TNM has received permission to announce that acquisition, and a guest column from company CEO Bradley Metrock will appear on TNM later today.

Score Publishing said the first DBW conference under its ownership will take place October 2-4, 2018 in Nashville, around the time the company’s iBA conference is usually held.

“The iBooks Author Conference will indeed be rolled into Digital Book World in ways that serve that community well and allow some of the interesting and unique things that people are doing with iBA to become more known,” Metrock told TNM, though he said he did not know yet in “exactly that will look like in final form.”

Score Publishing this year expanded its events business by launching its first conference centered on Amazon’s Alexa technology. The Alexa Conference took place in January in Chattanooga.
