Author Jessica Valenti named contributing editor to Hearst’s MarieClaire.com
Valenti, who will pen a weekly column, is the author of The New York Times bestseller ‘Sex Object: A Memoir’
NEW YORK, NY – May 23, 2017 – Feminist columnist and bestselling author Jessica Valenti has been named a contributing editor to MarieClaire.com, it was announced today by digital director Jessica Pels. In her new role, Valenti will pen a weekly column for the site, expanding on MarieClaire.com’s in-depth coverage of politics, feminism and culture. Her appointment was effective May 22.
“Jessica is searingly smart—her insight into the issues facing women today is more of a must-read than ever before,” said Pels. “I’m thrilled to bring her on board as MarieClaire.com’s contributing editor, and for her column on politics and feminism to become a destination that informs the way our readers see the world.”
Valenti, who the Washington Post called one of the most successful and visible feminists of her generation, is the author of multiple books on feminism, politics and culture, and founder of Feministing.com. Her latest book, Sex Object: A Memoir, was a New York Times bestseller.
