Ira Madison III joins The Daily Beast as Entertainment Reporter

Madison was previously with MTV News, where he served as Culture Writer, before that he was staff writer for New York Magazine

NEW YORK, NY — May 17, 2017 — The Daily Beast, one of the web’s fastest growing digital publishers with a reach of more than one million readers a day, announced leading entertainment columnist Ira Madison III has joined its editorial team. One of the most insightful voices in pop culture, politics, and race today, Madison adds to The Beast’s growing reporting staff, bringing his unique perspective to the entertainment team.

Madison joins the Beast as its new Entertainment Reporter from MTV News, where he served as Culture Writer. Previously a writer for Vulture and BuzzFeed, Madison has gained critical acclaim for his distinct analysis of pop culture and politics. As Entertainment Reporter for The Daily Beast, Madison will remain in Los Angeles and report to Senior Entertainment Editor Marlow Stern. Madison will provide original commentary, analysis, and opinion on the latest in entertainment and celebrity news as well as fashion and music.

Madison will begin reporting for the site full time beginning June 5, 2017.
