Washington, D.C. — May 16, 2017 — Frank Salatto is Government Executive Media Group’s (GEMG) new Director of Audience Marketing responsible for Defense One, Government Executive, Nextgov, and Route Fifty, GEMG CEO Tim Hartman announced today. Salatto joins GEMG at a time of major growth for the company, which has added 14 new hires over the past six months. Salatto will report to GEMG General Manager Christine Mitchell.

“I’m pleased to introduce Frank as our newest Director of Audience Marketing at a time of such significant growth for Government Executive,” Hartman said. “Frank brings a seasoned marketing approach to our company and he’ll certainly play a crucial part as we look for new ways to revolutionize public sector-facing media. Given his impressive work within the sports industry, we’re confident he’ll bring a fresh perspective to the company, presenting new ideas and processes to foster our continued success.”

In his new role, Salatto will develop, manage, and execute creative marketing strategies to grow GEMG’s audience and increase its lead generation revenue. He joins the team responsible for growing Route Fifty’s audience by 146% and multiplying lead generation revenue across the company by over 200% last year.

Salatto joins GEMG from the Washington Redskins, where he served as the team’s Marketing Director and ran fan acquisition and retention campaigns, making him the latest GEMG hire to come from a non-media background. Among his many notable accomplishments, he co-launched the Redskins Rewards program and quadrupled season ticket renewal rates.

Prior to joining the Redskins, Frank honed his skills as an Email Marketing Manager at Billy Casper Golf, the largest golf management company in the U.S. There, he launched over 100 email marketing campaigns per week, while managing a segmented database of over three million golfers.
