TNG acquires magazine sales and distribution business from Ingram Periodicals LLC
TNG and Ingram are committed to ensuring a smooth transition of Ingram’s magazine business to TNG. Both companies have agreed to a Transition Service Agreement (TSA) until customers are properly transitioned. During this time, delivery will continue through Ingram’s current distribution centers in California, Tennessee, and Pennsylvania, while TNG begins the transition of the invoicing/accounting functions.
With this acquisition TNG will expand its title availability, particularly international editions, and increase offerings to existing TNG customers. This will also expand TNG’s ability to offer 3PL services for a broad array of magazine publishing companies and distributors. The addition of Ingram’s model provides a wide range of magazine fulfillment distribution services direct to market and direct to home on behalf of the retail customer.
“Ingram is a well-respected organization servicing the needs of its clients,” said TNG President David Parry. “Their magazine delivery methodology is considerably different than TNG’s current model and this acquisition will position our company to meet the service needs of an ever-changing market place.”
“Ingram Content Group has invested in people, strategies, technology and services to help content reach its destination,” said Shawn Everson, Chief Commercial Officer at Ingram Content Group. “TNG is well positioned to serve these customers, and we’re looking forward to their continued success in the magazine industry.”
“TNG’s long term commitment to quality service for the periodical business; has led us to making this important acquisition that will lead to a more sustainable periodical delivery model for years to come,” said David Parry. “We look forward to working alongside and learning from the many great Ingram employees in the near future.”
