Aric Lapera joins Chicago-based digital publisher Dose as VP of West Coast operations
Lapera was previously vice president of brand strategies at BuzzFeed and before that worked at MySpace, CBS, Weather.com and Ziff Davis
CHICAGO, Ill. — April 24, 2017 — Dose, a top digital publisher reaching a monthly audience of over 50 million, announced today the hire of Aric Lapera as vice president for the company’s West Coast operations. Lapera will lead the sales on the West Coast at Dose, advancing the company’s mission to create stories worth sharing by using predictive, data-driven tech.

With almost 20 years of experience in the digital, social and online media industries, Lapera has dedicated much of this time to educating brands on social content. Most recently, Lapera served as vice president of brand strategies at BuzzFeed. Beforehand and while at BuzzFeed, he served as executive director and vice president of sales for the West Coast. Lapera forged successful partnerships for BuzzFeed with industry leaders including Amazon.com, Inc.; Google; Intel Corporation; Microsoft Corporation; T-Mobile US, Inc.; and Visa Inc.. Prior to his tenure at BuzzFeed, Lapera held several positions at major media brands including MySpace, CBS Corporation, Weather.com and Ziff Davis, LLC.

Lapera founded the Music For Life Program in 2004, a nonprofit based in Sonoma County in partnership with the Valley of the Moon Children’s Home that provides foster care children with the opportunity to experience music via hands-on education. A graduate of San Diego State University, Lapera holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing and currently lives in West Marin with his wife and three daughters.
