Bauer Media creates EVP revenue positions, attracts new execs from Meredith, Dow Jones

Jeff Wellington joins Bauer Media as Executive Vice President of Advertising Revenue, while Brian Beaudry joins as Executive Vice President of Consumer Revenue

Englewood Cliffs, NJ – March 22, 2017 – Steven Kotok, CEO and President of Bauer Media Group USA, the No. 1 seller of magazines at retail in the country, today announces the appointment of two top publishing veterans to Bauer’s executive leadership team:

Jeff Wellington (right) has been named Executive Vice President (EVP) of Advertising Revenue.

Brian Beaudry (below-left) has been named Executive Vice President (EVP) of Consumer Revenue, effective immediately.

Both newly created positions will report directly to Kotok.

As EVP of Advertising Revenue for Bauer Media US, Jeff Wellington will lead the sales and marketing team, partnering with major brands and agencies to develop print and digital programs.

Wellington comes to Bauer from the Meredith Corporation where he led Allrecipes and the Parents Network as Vice President and Group Publisher, achieving 18 consecutive quarters of share-of-market growth and increased profits. He previously served as President, Group Publisher for the Parenting Group at Time Inc as well as executive sales and marketing roles at Scholastic, Reader’s Digest and The Hearst Corporation.

As EVP of Consumer Revenue for Bauer Media US, Brian Beaudry will lead the strategy and operations of a newsstand team that drives greater unit sales at retail than any other publisher in the country. Beaudry will also lead the subscription team.

Beaudry comes to Bauer from Dow Jones where he was Vice President of Global Commercial Sales. He re-launched The Wall Street Journal internationally and revitalized The Journal’s newsstand presence within the US. Beaudry has also held executive consumer marketing positions at American Media, Wenner Media, The Hearst Corporation and Time Inc. While at Wenner Media, Brian oversaw the planning and execution of the newsstand and checkout launch of Us Weekly.

Wellington will assume various responsibilities of Ian Scott, who is leaving the company after more than a decade of exceptional service.
