Alex Aufmann named Senior Marketing Director for Backpacker, Climbing magazines

Aufmann joins Active Interest Media from ActiveJunky.com where she was an account executive

Boulder, Colo – February 16, 2017Active Interest Media announces the hiring of Alex Aufmann as Senior Marketing Director for BACKPACKER and Climbing Magazines, two marquis brands in AIM’s Outdoor Group. Aufmann hails from Colorado-based media and public relations company Backbone Media, where she managed several brand budgets across print, online, mobile, social media, out-of-home, radio and special events.

Aufmann brings a rich and diverse mix of skills and past experience, along with a life-long passion for skiing, which was cultivated while working for the Aspen Skiing Company. Just prior to joining the team at AIM, Alex was an Account Executive with ACTIVEJUNKY.com, a digital brand specializing in outdoor gear, travel and fitness.
