Reed Business Information sells its Dutch HR and Government B2B titles to Vakmedianet
The company that once bought Cahners, then became the largest B2B publisher in the U.S., only to exit the market, Reed Business Information, announced today that it has sold off its HR Communities and the Government portfolios to B+B Vakmedianet Groep B.V.
The titles involved areP&O actueel, Praktijkblad Ondernemingsraad, Arbo Magazine, O&O, Flexmarkt, Salarisadviseur, and Pensioen & Praktijk, as well as events and other related products. At the end of 2014, Vakmedianet bought a couple of other Reed titles, Food & Horeca and Logistiek & Mobiliteit.

London, UK – November 21, 2016 – Reed Business Information, part of RELX Group, announced its intention to sell the HR Communities portfolio and the Government portfolio to B+B Vakmedianet Groep B.V. on 18 November.
The strategy of RELX Group is to deliver improved outcomes for professional and business customers across industries, combining content and data with analytics and technology in global platforms. The Dutch activities of the HR Communities portfolio and the Government portfolio no longer fit within the focus of RELX Group. As a result, Reed Business Information intends to sell both portfolios.
In the Netherlands Vakmedianet is the leading business-to-business publisher in both new and established media channels. With their expert editorial staff they provide professional information tailored to more than 1.2 million professionals in specific disciplines and branches in the Netherlands.
The intended sale is subject to the completion of the customary consultation procedures with the works council of RELX Group.
