Matthew Marden appointed style director at Hearst’s Esquire

NEW YORK, NY – September 19, 2016 – Jay Fielden, Esquire editor-in-chief and Town & Country editorial director, today announced that Matthew Marden has joined Esquire as style director.

In his new role, which he starts today, Marden will be styling covers and fashion pages and working with Esquire’s fashion team to expand its fashion coverage throughout the magazine at a time when style has taken on a new importance in men’s lives. Previously, he was a freelance stylist and consultant for editorial and commercial clients and spent more than a decade as fashion director at Details starting in 2004. Marden began his career as an associate at Staley-Wise Gallery in New York City, going on to work as an associate editor of men’s fashion at Town & Country in 2000. He has collaborated with photographers including Mark Seliger, Robbie Fimmano, Matthew Brookes, John Balsom, Tetsu, Philip Gay, Bill Kidd and Milan Vukmirovic.
