His practical experience includes media relations and crisis communications, issue management and a deep understanding of the use of digital and social media to drive a message, build target audiences and help shape public opinion.

This announcement promises Upstream will be playing a critically important role in this year’s national and state elections and continue their work as a pioneer and industry leader in the world of digital politics.

“I’m excited about getting our clients in front of the decision-making process,” stated the new president. “Our passion is to help clients engage people — at the precise place — where they’re looking for the right data to make a really good decision and affect change.”

“We love winning. It’s that simple. With creativity and precision, we’re going to execute for our clients and demonstrate real results,” Olsen said.

Olsen brings to Upstream more than two decades of experience, serving as President of Olsen + Company, managing political and public policy campaigns and serving as Executive Vice President of Karl Rove + Company. Todd has helped raise more than $180,000,000 for conservative causes and non-profit organizations and assisted clients whose needs spanned the gamut: from implementing highly personalized communications campaigns for three presidential campaigns to helping urban Colleges effectively reach minority audiences.
