Barclay Palmer joins IBT Media as Executive Producer for Video
Before joining IBT Media, Palmer worked at CBS News Digital as Director of Video Production
New York, NY – March 21, 2016 – IBT Media, a global news organization, today announced that award-winning TV and digital video producer Barclay Palmer has joined as Executive Producer for Video. Palmer will be based out of IBT Media’s New York City headquarters and will report to Vice President for Video Production and Strategy, Eric Gonon.
Palmer will work closely with Gonon to implement IBT Media’s global video strategy, develop video syndication and manage video staff. He will also work with editorial teams across the company’s brands including Newsweek and International Business Times to produce engaging video that supports the editorial content.
“Barclay is an enthusiastic partner who will intensely focus on the day-to-day management of increasing video output, while also planning long-term feature videos, sponsorship opportunities and story development,” said Gonon. “He’s hands-on and has incredible digital and social media savvy.”
Before joining IBT Media, Palmer worked at CBS News Digital as Director of Video Production where he played a senior role in the creation and management of CBSN and developed video series targeting mobile audiences. He has also held positions at Bloomberg Television, Thomson Reuters and CNN and has won an Edward R. Murrow Award, an Emmy, a Peabody, a DuPont, and several National Headliner and Society of Professional Journalist Awards, in addition to nominations for Webby, Emmy and Gerald Loeb awards.
