Hearst Magazines Digital Media expands editorial operations group
Whitney Joiner joins the division as senior features editor, Nojan Aminosharei joins as entertainment director
NEW YORK, NY – March 1, 2016 – Hearst Magazines Digital Media (HMDM) today announces the expansion of its editorial operations group which serves as a centralized resource for the editorial teams across Hearst’s 21 websites including Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Esquire, Good Housekeeping, Harper’s BAZAAR and Delish. The announcement was made by Kate Lewis, senior vice president and editorial director, and Brooke Siegel, director of editorial operations, to whom the new hires will report.
Whitney Joiner has joined the division as senior features editor. Joiner will conceive, assign and edit long-lead features across the digital portfolio, matching brands with stories that speak to their specific audiences, while also collaborating with brand-specific digital editors. Joiner had been senior features editor at Marie Claire since 2013.
Nojan Aminosharei has joined as entertainment director. In this role, Aminosharei will secure celebrity and social media star participation in features, photo shoots, and videos across all Hearst Magazines sites. Prior to joining HMDM, Aminosharei was senior entertainment editor at GQ from 2014 to 2015 and entertainment editor at Details from 2012-2014.
HMDM reported 179 million uniques in January 2016, an all-time traffic high for the division (Adobe Analytics).
