Amy Wilkins rejoins Smithsonian Media Group as Chief Revenue Officer
Wilkens had been with Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia before and just after its sale to Meredith, and before that had been Publisher of Smithsonian Magazine and Biography Magazine
New York, NY – February 29, 2016 – Smithsonian Media Group today announced publishing veteran Amy Wilkins will assume the role of Chief Revenue Officer. Wilkins, who served as Publisher of Smithsonian magazine from 2000-2005, will rejoin effective immediately, with responsibility for driving growth on all platforms including publishing, digital, video and events.

Prior to rejoining Smithsonian, Wilkins was SVP of Sales and Marketing for Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She has also been Publisher of Smithsonian Magazine and Biography Magazine, as well as President of Petersen Youth Group. Prior to that, she spent seven years at Time Inc., working in jobs of increasing responsibility before becoming Publisher of Health magazine in 1992.
With over 27 years of experience in publishing, Ms. Wilkins’ talent and expertise in the field is widely recognized. She is currently serving a 2-year term as President on the Board of Directors for Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) and was named one of Ad Age’s “Women to Watch” in 1998.
