Calgary Herald launches NP, a new daily print section powered by the National Post
TORONTO, Ontario – December 14, 2015 — Postmedia Network Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of NP in the Calgary Herald, a new daily print section, 6-10 pages in length, that brings together analysis, commentary and background on national and international news powered by the National Post.
“We continue to introduce the new daily NP section into our newspapers to offer readers an even more compelling print product,” said Gord Fisher, President, National Post. “We are happy with the positive feedback we have received in previously launched markets and are excited to bring the power of the two brands together for Calgarians.”
NP in the Calgary Herald provides a distinctly curated, beautifully designed package of National Post content within the Calgary Herald and covers the major national and world news of the day, while also rounding up some of the best commentary and columnists including Christie Blatchford, Andrew Coyne, Robert Fulford and Michael Den Tandt. Calgary Herald is the sixth market to launch an NP section in its newspaper with the Edmonton Journal, Windsor Star, Montreal Gazette, Saskatoon StarPhoenix and Regina Leader-Post having launched earlier this fall.
“We are excited to introduce, for the first time, National Post content to our loyal print readers which we are confident they are going to enjoy,” said Lorne Motley, Editor, Calgary Herald.
