Guardian US announces three new hires for its San Francisco-based tech reporting team
Nellie Bowles, Julia Carrie Wong and Danny Hadron join the west coast bureau to expand Guardian technology coverage
New York, NY – December 11, 2015 — Guardian US today announced the addition of three technology reporters to its west coast bureau based in San Francisco:
Nellie Bowles (@NellieBowles) has most recently been a contributing writer to The California Sunday magazine as well as working on a book for Hachette and TV show based on one of her stories for 20th Century Fox. She previously covered the tech world for Re/code and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Julia Carrie Wong (@juliacarriew) joins from SF Weekly, where she is currently a news and politics staff writer. She previously worked as a freelance reporter, contributing articles on San Francisco Bay Area politics and the tech industry for Salon, In These Times, the New Yorker, USA Today and Vice.
Danny Yadron (@dannyyadron) joins from the Wall Street Journal, where he is a cybersecurity reporter based in San Francisco. Previously he was WSJ’s technology policy and political reporter in Washington DC, and has also written for the Buffalo News and the Austin American-Statesman.
