Lisa Cericola named the Senior Food Editor at Southern Living

Time Inc. also today named JJ Miller to the newly created position of Executive Producer, Video for People and Entertainment Weekly

Today, Southern Living Editor-in-Chief Sid Evans announced the appointment of Lisa Cericola as Senior Food Editor. Cericola, who has been Features Editor at Food Network Magazine since April 2013, will report to Executive Editor Krissy Tiglias.

Prior to her work at Hearst, Cericola was Food Editor at iVillage.com (now Today.com) where she assigned and edited content for their food vertical. Cericola is returning to Southern Living magazine, having been an intern in the Garden department early in her career.

Cericola is a West Palm Beach native and received her B.A. in journalism from the University of Central Florida. She will be relocating from NYC to Birmingham, Alabama where Time Inc. publishes Southern Living, Cooking Light and Coastal Living. The publisher this summer opened its new food studios in Birmingham with 28 test kitchens, photography studios and a private dining room.

Time Inc. also today named JJ Miller to the newly created position of Executive Producer, Video for People and Entertainment Weekly. Miller will oversee all aspects of People and EW video programming across digital platforms, and will develop TV and other brand extensions. Miller will report directly to Jess Cagle, Editorial Director of People and EW.

“JJ Miller is one of the most respected—and beloved—news and entertainment executives in our industry, with experience in online video, broadcasting, radio and print,” said Cagle. “This is a critical role that reflects how video and related brand extensions have become a cornerstone of our business.”

Miller has previously been with Katie Couric Productions, and before that helped launch Huffington Post’s eight-hour block of video programming, and was HuffPost Live’s deputy executive producer where she oversaw all celebrity segments.
