Former Primedia, IDG CEO, Kelly Conlin, named CEO at Zinio

For the past nine years, Conlin has been running the aftermarket domain sales company NameMedia

NEW YORK, NY – October 22, 2015 — ZINIO, the world’s largest digital magazine producer and distributor, announced today the appointment of Kelly Conlin as the company’s President and CEO. Conlin joins the company from NameMedia, where he was the CEO of a venture-backed e-commerce company that was acquired by strategic buyers. Previously, he was the CEO of two of the largest magazine publishing companies in the United States: IDG, the global leader for information services in the technology industry, and Primedia, the leading enthusiast magazine publisher.

“This is an exciting time for ZINIO. We just launched ZINIO PRO, a new SaaS-based platform that enables magazine publishers to create native, branded applications for every platform, but also distribute those apps to our growing network of distribution partners,” said Arthur Becker, the company’s current Chairman and CEO, who will remain Chairman of the company “Leveraging the acquisition ZINIO made last year of technology from Audience Media and expanding the services we offer publishers builds on ZINIO’s 10-year history of leadership in the digital magazine industry.”
