Former Yahoo and Parade executive, Wayne Powers, joins Valassis as Chief Revenue & Operating Officer
Powers has held multiple senior leadership positions at Gravity4, Parade Media Group, Yahoo! and Time Inc.
LIVONIA, Mich. – October 19, 2015 — Valassis, a leader in intelligent media delivery, has appointed Wayne Powers as Chief Revenue and Operating Officer. In this role, Powers will lead revenue growth and the cross-channel client/advertiser experience for Valassis, a division of Harland Clarke Holdings Corp.
A 30-year veteran in the media industry, Powers has successfully led print and digital initiatives that boosted revenue growth of global brands through omni-channel integration. He has held multiple senior leadership positions at Gravity4, Parade Media Group, Yahoo! and Time Inc. where he delivered market-changing solutions for customers. In addition to his business acumen, Powers has developed and implemented strategic process improvements that have strengthened the customer experience.

Prior to Valassis, Powers was President of Gravity4 where he expanded the company’s client base while empowering marketers with a simplified multi-channel online customer experience. While President of Parade Media Group, he was responsible for the strategic direction and financial growth of multiple brands across platforms including Parade and Dash. As Yahoo! SVP, North American Sales, he successfully formalized Yahoo’s sales strategy and structure as well as creating a Video, Social and Mobile strategy. Powers led the integration of Interclick – a display ad network focused on delivering personalized advertising solutions that was later renamed Genome. He served as President, Time Media Group where he had responsibilities for multiple operating divisions including the launch of the Time, Inc. Digital Network.
