Tom Seeley appointed Senior Vice President, Digital Media at The Hollywood Reporter
Seeley was previously Vice President, Editorial for NBC Sports Digital, and before that Managing Editor at FOXSports.com
Los Angeles, CA — October 7, 2015 — The Hollywood Reporter, the entertainment industry’s flagship media brand, announced today that Tom Seeley, former vice president, editorial for NBC Sports Digital, has been named Senior Vice President, Digital Media overseeing digital editorial for The Hollywood Reporter. Seeley will report to Dan Strauss, general manger, digital, and Janice Min, co-president and chief creative officer of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group.
“Tom has that great combination of stellar editorial experience and the instincts of a digital native,” said Ms. Min. “His experience building out NBC Sports online from a once virtually non-existent entity into a major digital player in all forms of content, including video and social, is an incredible achievement. I believe that same drive and sensibility will continue to transform The Hollywood Reporter as we further expand on all platforms.”
Seeley’s addition coincides with record-setting online traffic to THR.com, driven by The Hollywood Reporter’s recent Emmy coverage that included a list of “Hollywood’s 100 Favorite TV Shows” and a cover story featuring the cast of Empire, leading to more than 66 million pageviews in less than a week.

Seeley most recently was the VP, Editorial for NBC Sports Digital where he oversaw content and video for a portfolio of sites including NBCSports.com and Rotoworld.com. Additionally, he spearheaded growth of live-streaming events, from the first NFL-live streaming product (2008) to the current slate of 3,000 live events (2015) and led all mobile efforts for NBCOlympics.com for the 2012 London Olympics.
Prior to his tenure at NBC Sports Digital, Seeley served as Managing Editor at Fox Sports Interactive, leading a team of 45 through all aspects of production in addition to overseeing the editorial team during the relaunch of FOXsports.com in 2001. Before that, Tom held roles at CBS Sportsline and Ann Arbor News.
