NEW YORK, NY – September 25, 2015Dataminr, the leading real-time information discovery company, today announced the appointment of two new members to its leadership team. Julio Pekarovic joined Dataminr as Chief Financial Officer in August following his role as VP of Finance at Google from 2002 through 2009; and four years as CFO at Quantcast. Steven Schwartz will join Dataminr as President of the News Division. “We are thrilled that two incredibly successful veterans of the technology and media industries have joined our executive team,” said Ted Bailey, Founder & CEO of Dataminr. “Julio Pekarovic joined Google at a time when the company was the same size as Dataminr is today, and helped grow their revenue at a rate of 250x to $22B over a seven-year period. “Dataminr’s entry into the news business has been unprecedented – installing in over 200 newsrooms at a pace faster than any new information product I have seen during my career,” said Steven Schwartz. “Amidst the massive change in today’s newsgathering and reporting

landscape, the breakout success of Dataminr for News speaks to the media’s critical need for new tools and information sources in order to maintain a competitive advantage and achieve differentiation. I look forward to leading the global scaling of this revolutionary product and to joining Dataminr at this exciting stage.”
