Melissa Strome promoted to publisher at Yoga Journal
Strome was previously East Coast Advertising Director, and before that an account director at The New Yorker
Boulder, Colo. – September 18, 2015 – Yoga Journal today announced that Melissa Strome has been promoted to Publisher of Yoga Journal, where she will lead sales and marketing operations for the brand. She was formerly East Coast Advertising Director.
Prior to joining Yoga Journal she served in various roles at The New Yorker, where she worked from 2010 to 2014. As National Advertising Director, Strome helped bring The New Yorker’s sales and marketing efforts to new heights across print, digital, and live-event platforms.
Strome was also Associate Publisher at Every Day with Rachael Ray. During her tenure, the brand was named to the Ad Age “Magazine A-List” in both 2007 and 2008, and to the Mediaweek “Hot List” in 2008. Strome has held a number of sales positions at titles such as Gourmet and Marie Claire.
