Peter Flax named features editor at The Hollywood Reporter
Additional new hires announced include Dan Fienberg as TV critic, Ryan Parker as staff editor, Mia Galuppo as a staff writer focusing on film, and Jen Liles as social media manager
Los Angeles, Calif. — September 15, 2015 —— The Hollywood Reporter, the entertainment industry’s flagship media brand, announced today that it has added five new staff to its award-winning roster, bolstering its editorial and social media teams.
Peter Flax, who was previously editor in chief at Bicycling Magazine has been named features editor; Dan Fienberg, former executive editor of HitFix.com, will serve as TV critic providing reviews and TV coverage; Ryan Parker, a reporter from The Los Angeles Times who covered breaking news on both the state and national level, joins as staff editor; Mia Galuppo, a former HelloGiggles contributor, rounds out the editorial additions as a staff writer focusing on film.
New social media manager Jen Liles, coming from E! Entertainment, will help The Hollywood Reporter continue to grow its social media presence, building upon a digital platform that reaches 3.7 million users across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+ and YouTube.
The new additions to the team will play an integral role in reporting and showcasing The Hollywood Reporter’s blockbuster cover stories, breaking news, industry issues, profiles and interviews with celebrities and public figures which have recently included an exclusive cover story and interview with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter, actress Jennifer Aniston, and many more.
