Neil Janowitz joins Vulture as editorial director
Janowitz was previously the assistant managing editor of EW.com and senior editor at Sports Illustrated
New York, NY – May 28, 2015 — Vulture.com and New York magazine culture editor Lane Brown announced that Neil Janowitz has joined Vulture as editorial director. Janowitz will oversee Vulture’s day-to-day operations and expanding coverage of television, movies, music, art, theater, books, and more , and began his new role on Tuesday.
“I’m thrilled to have Neil help steer Vulture into its next phase, as a more ambitious, more expansive, faster-moving entertainment-covering machine (all without diluting any of the personality that Vulture is known for),” says Brown.
Janowitz (@neiljanowitz) was most recently the assistant managing editor of EW.com, and previously worked at SI.com, Fast Company, and ESPN the Magazine. He has produced video series for ESPN and Comedy Central, and has written for The New York Times, Men’s Health, and Wired, among other outlets.
