Active Interest Media acquires Cabin Life magazine from Kalmbach Publishing
Cabin Life will merge with AIM’s Country’s Best Cabins and be renamed Cabin Living
Boulder, CO. – May 14, 2015 — Active Interest Media, Inc. (AIM, www.aimmedia.com) today announced it has acquired Cabin Life magazine from Kalmbach Publishing. Cabin Life will merge with AIM’s Country’s Best Cabins, and will be published under the new name Cabin Living. Cabin Living, with a combined audience of 150,000 is now the leading media brand to serve cabin builders, remodelers and dwellers.
Cabin Living will cover cabin-retreat building, remodeling, maintenance and the cabin getaway lifestyle. Mark Johnson, who has been with Cabin Life for the past 14 years, eight as Editor-in-Chief, will join AIM as editor of Cabin Living. “I am excited that our passionate, devoted audience of cabin enthusiasts has a new home at AIM,” says Johnson. “By merging titles to create Cabin Living, we are perfectly positioned to reach a much wider audience of vacation home owners and dreamers.”
