App updates: SNL comes to Android; Apple adds Apple Watch support to Store app
With only three episodes left in the season, NBC has launched its SNL: Saturday Night Live into the Google Play app store. Early reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
“The SNL App brings four decades of live comedy to your fingertips, offering classic sketches from every single season of TV’s late-night landmark. Watch and laugh at favorites like Stefon on Weekend Update, Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake’s digital shorts, the Coneheads and more,” the app description in Google Play states.
The iOS app was updated at the same time and now comes with additional emojis, which users seem to like (if only all app users were so easy to please) and brings that version of the app up to version 1.3. The app was originally launched into the Apple App Store in February of this year.
Apple updated its Apple Store app to add in Apple Watch support (odd that they are so behind with their own app) and the iOS version of iMovie was updated to fix a situation where a photo in portrait is incorrectly cropped when bought into a project (folk, you have to remember to turn that came to landscape!), and to make sure the app properly shares videos to YouTube.
Finally, Netflix issued a bug fix update to its iOS app, which has the mercifully short name of… Netflix.
