News streaming service Watchup announces content partnership with Tribune Broadcasting

Launched today, the partnership provides viewers access to online local news segments from television powerhouses like KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, WGN- TV in Chicago and WPIX-TV in New York

MENLO PARK, Calif. – March, 16, 2015 — Watchup, the news streaming service available via the iOS AppStore, Google Play, Amazon AppStore and Xbox360, today announced a content partnership with Tribune Broadcasting, a division of Tribune Media Company. Under the agreement, Watchup users will be able to access online video content from 30 of the company’s local television station websites.

The partnership launched today provides viewers access to their favorite online local news segments from the websites of television powerhouses like KTLA-TV in Los Angeles, WGN- TV in Chicago and WPIX-TV in New York. The agreement also includes content from Tribune Broadcasting’s stations in Seattle, Dallas, Oklahoma City, Ft. Smith, Houston, Salt Lake City, San Diego, St. Louis, Sacramento, Kansas City, Greensboro, New Orleans, Huntsville, Des Moines, Milwaukee, Cleveland, Scranton, Denver, Harrisburg, Moline, Memphis, Hartford, Norfolk, Indianapolis, Richmond, Indianapolis, and Grand Rapids.
