Digital solutions agency FILTER opens Austin office, Corey O’Brien joins as Executive VP
Traci Hughes joins FILTER to run the organization’s new Austin office as Client Partner and Market Lead
SEATTLE, Wash. – March 11, 2015 — FILTER, a leading digital solutions agency, today announced the addition of three new senior level staff members and the opening of an office in Austin, Texas.
Corey O’Brien joins FILTER as Executive Vice President with the goal of helping evolve FILTER’s creative and staffing capabilities. O’Brien, who will be based in FILTER’s San Francisco office, was Vice President of Technology at Aquent before moving to FILTER.
Signing on as a Client Partner and Market Lead, Traci Hughes joins FILTER to run the organization’s new Austin office. Hughes, an entrepreneur and staffing expert with deep relationships in the enterprise and mid-market space, will work with agencies and companies seeking digital content and staffing solutions.
Eric Meline joins FILTER’s Seattle office as Director of Talent Management with a mandate to continue building on FILTER’s reputation for cultivating and supporting the best creative talent in the world. Meline comes to FILTER with nearly two decades of digital creative and marketing experience.
FILTER CEO Kim Obbink calls all of the new hires “Warriors against the dogma of staffing companies.”
“From, say, a designer’s perspective, the dogma about staffing companies is ‘I’m a designer and I’ll do all the work and you’ll just take the markup.’ But that’s not how FILTER operates. We believe in earning the money we make. And all of our new hires are champions of great talent and advocates for both talent and clients.”
New Austin office
With offices in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles, FILTER boasts the largest network of top designers, developers and other digital talent on the West Coast, and clients that include leading global consumer and technology brands. CEO Obbink views the organization’s expansion into Austin as a natural step for the company.
“The Austin market is booming. The technology and start-up industries are growing rapidly, biotech is on the rise, and there’s an abundance of skilled, top-level creative and digital talent in the area. At the same time, talent is more specialized than ever. We see companies struggling to match skills to tasks. We’re thrilled to have Traci Hughes on our team to help meet these challenges and spearhead growth in the Texas region.”
