Michael Daecher named Director of Consumer Experience for Online Education for AIM’s Healthy Living Group

Boulder, CO – March 10, 2015 — Active Interest Media (AIM, www.aimmedia.com) today announced that Michael Daecher has been named Director of Consumer Experience for Online Education for AIM’s Healthy Living Group. In this new position, Daecher will drive the strategic direction and marketing of AIM Healthy University (AHU), which is scheduled to launch in early April. AHU will offer online classes on topics that directly relate to some of AIM’s premier brands, including Yoga Journal, Vegetarian Times, Oxygen, Clean Eating, The Box, and more. The University’s first module, “The Business of Yoga,” a series of 50+ videos covering all aspects of starting and running a successful yoga studio, is scheduled to launch mid-March.

Before joining AIM, Daecher was Vice President of Marketing at Craftsy, the online craft website which offers its more than five million registered users hundreds of classes in cooking, photography, art, knitting and more. During his two-and-a-half-year tenure, he was responsible for incre asing revenue more than 350%, exceeding projections for 10 straight quarters. Prior to Craftsy, Daecher was a Senior Vice President of New Platforms for About.com, a top 15 Web content destination site with more than 85 million unique visitors per month.
