SourceMedia CEO Douglas J. Manoni takes over as chairman of ABM

NEW YORK, NY – March 2, 2015 – ABM– the Association of Business Information & Media Companies – a division of the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA), the leading association representing the software and digital content industries– today named SourceMedia CEO Douglas J. Manoni as Chairman of its board. Manoni, who currently serves as ABM’s Vice Chair, will begin his term immediately, succeeding current Chair Neal Vitale, Director and former CEO of 1105 Media.
The announcement comes as ABM is deepening its collaboration with SIIA’s Content & Information Services Division (CISD) and Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) to better serve a membership whose businesses are converging and becoming increasingly diversified – encompassing traditional and digital media, databases and software systems, research and events.
“The new ABM is perfectly positioned at the intersection of business information, media and technology, and B2B media is entering a highly dynamic era with the economy strengthening, business models evolving, and technology solutions developing at an increasingly rapid pace” said Manoni. Working with ABM Managing Director Mike Marchesano, said Manoni, “it’s my intention to set an aggressive agenda to broaden our perspective on member business models and enhance member company intelligence and performance through expanded member services, fulfilling the passion and the vision that he and I share.”

Manoni and Marchesano expressed thanks to Neal Vitale, on behalf of the entire ABM association, for his leadership of the ABM board, especially through the merger discussions and integration with SIIA.
