John Ecke joins Penton’s Agriculture Group as Vice President, Digital Products

NEW YORK, NY – February 25, 2015 — Penton’s Agriculture Group today announced that industry veteran John Ecke will join as Vice President, Digital Products, where he will be responsible for driving all digital sales and product development initiatives. Ecke will be involved with all of the Penton Agriculture Group brands some of which include The Farm Progress Show, Husker Harvest Days, The Farm Press properties, Farm Futures and BEEF Magazine. Ecke will be based in Penton’s New York office and will report to Dan Bagan, Group President, Food & Agriculture.

Most recently Ecke was UBM Tech’s Vice President, Brand and Product Director, overseeing all tech media including the flagship brand, InformationWeek. He has deep experience managing people, process and P&Ls while creating and guiding brands through market change, driven by technology advancement and evolving customer needs.
Earlier, Ecke was sales director, National Sales Manager and Publisher Wall Street & Technology, Group Publisher of Financial Services and Group Publisher of Vertical Markets. Ecke also founded Advanced Trading.
Ecke earned a degree in International Business and Marketing from Hofstra University.
