Soellner Communications AG launches a new customer digital magazine: PoV
Munich-based communications marketing firm launches native digital magazine into the Apple Newsstand and Google Play app stores, built using Adobe DPS
It is normal to only select magazines to download from the Newsstand that are in the language you read, but that means occasionally missing good examples of the digital publisher platform. That is why I try and look at new digital magazines from the around the world. Here is another good one, from the communications/marketing firm Soellner Communications AG.
The Munich, Germany firm has just released PoV, a new digital magazine built using the Adobe Digital Publishing Suite. As you would expect from a customer magazine, both the app and its digital editions inside are free to download and access.
This new digital magazine utilizes both portrait and landscape orientations, creating very attractive digital magazine pages in both. There are a few bells and whistles used here such as pop-up captions and scrolling text bars, but the emphasis is on the overall look of the digital publication.
The first issue of PoV focuses on corporate publishing and content marketing, subjects I know many English language readers would be interested in. Unfortunately, instant translation of digital editions appears a few years away still (hey, Google, can you help out here?).
The screenshots below are from the iPad edition in landscape. You can also find PoV in the Google Play store, as well.
