Meredith’s Stephen M. Lacy named Chairman of the Board of Directors of MPA-The Association of Magazine Media

Lacy succeeds Michael A. Clinton, President and Marketing and Publishing Director of Hearst Magazines

New York, NY – October 29 — Stephen M. Lacy, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Meredith Corporation has been named Chairman of the Board of Directors of MPA-The Association of Magazine Media. The announcement was made today by Mary G. Berner, President and CEO of the trade organization.

Lacy succeeds Michael A. Clinton, President and Marketing and Publishing Director of Hearst Magazines, who has completed his term as MPA Chair.

Berner noted, “MPA and all its members are incredibly fortunate to have such inspiring and dedicated advocates as Michael and Steve. Michael has been a great champion of MPA, and his support and leadership have made efforts like our newly launched Magazine Media 360° cross-platform measurement possible. Steve’s savvy and energy will be yet another boost for this industry as we continue to expand our audiences and our impact.”

Lacy was named CEO of Meredith in 2006 and elected Chairman in 2011. Lacy joined Meredith in 1998 as Chief Financial Officer, and subsequently served as President of the Meredith Publishing Group and President and Chief Operating Officer.

Lacy serves on the boards of The Advertising Council and is the immediate past Chair of the Board of Directors of The Direct Marketing Association. He has been a board member of MPA since 2012.
