The voice of Siri, Samantha, gets diction lessons in app update

Apple also updates its iWork programs, as well as iPhoto and iMovie

A number of big updates were released by Apple yesterday and last night, None bigger than its new Mac operating system, OS X Yosemite. But a number of smaller updates were released, as well (see this story on the update of iBooks Author).

Along with updates to the iWork programs (Pages, Keynote and Numbers) came updates to iPhoto and iMovie. The iWork updates involve support for iCloud Drive, as well as cosmetic changes to make the programs consistent with the look and feel of Yosemite.

iTunes received an update, as well. But the App Store, while appearing different in iTunes, is still… well, it’s a mess, especially Newsstand. (Michel, what the hell are you doing at Apple. Can you fix this thing?)

Apple also issued updates involving its voices. There was a Diction Language Update, as well as an update to Samantha, the voice Apple uses for Siri.
