In her new role, Kinsman will oversee all editorial content for the multiplatform media company, which delivers discerning dining advice, chefs’ recipes and news from the world of food and drink across email, Web, social media and mobile.

“During the past six years, we’ve established Tasting Table as a must-read for culinary obsessives,” said Geoff Bartakovics, co-founder and CEO. “Kat is not only a highly respected journalist, she’s also a longtime digital and social media maven whose broad interests will help to expand Tasting Table’s focus on the larger lifestyle surrounding the world of food and drink.”

Kinsman can often be seen on CNN’s Sanjay Gupta MD, Newsroom, CNN Weekend, Weekend Express and CNN Money videos. She is currently working on her first book, Hi, Anxiety, due in summer 2015 for HarperCollins imprint Dey Street Books.

Her prior experience includes 10 years as a designer and art director at publications including Maxim, FHM and CitySearch. She is a Kansas City Barbeque Society certified barbecue judge, vice chair of the James Beard Journalism Committee and an avid member of the Southern Foodways Alliance. She holds an MFA in metalsmithing from SUNY New Paltz.

“I’ve been a subscriber to and reader of Tasting Table for as long as it’s been around,” said Ms. Kinsman. “It’s always been a delicious interlude in my day, and I couldn’t be more excited about having that be my all-day every day.”
