La Presse+ gets an update for iOS 8
They may be jumping the gun a little bit, but the digital newspaper app LaPresse+ has been updated this afternoon – the reason: iOS 8. The Quebec, French language newspaper app, is one of the best and most innovative in the Apple Newsstand – popular both in the Canadian App Store and the U.S. store (where it receives almost unanimous praise from readers.
“Optimisation pour iOS 8; Améliorations mineures,” reads the app description for the update.
The app is one of the first to reference the new Apple mobile operating system. Apple will be holding an iPhone event on Tuesday of next week where they will not only introduce new models (and probably more) but also announce when current iOS device owners can upgrade their devices to iOS 8. That date is likely to be about a week following the event, Sept. 17-19 being the expected time frame.
Word is the the gold master of iOS 8 has been released to carriers, but for now the developer site still lists beta 5 as the one available.
