Grayle Howlett named Chief Revenue Officer at TV Guide Magazine
Previously, Howlett was group publisher at North American Media Group, overseeing a variety of publications including The History Channel Magazine
NEW YORK, NY – September 3, 2014 — Grayle Howlett has been named Chief Revenue Officer, TV Guide Magazine/OpenGate Media Group, it was announced today by David J. Fishman, TV Guide Magazine CEO and OpenGate Media Group Partner. Howlett, who assumes his position immediately, reports to Fishman. Howlett will be responsible for all advertising-related revenue generation across print, digital, event and partnership platforms.
OpenGate Media Group is a division OpenGate Capital that is focused on the acquisition of media companies as well as the expansion of the firm’s existing publishing and media‐related activities such as TV Guide Magazine.
“Grayle is a dynamic executive with a passion for the media business and we’re counting on him to drive revenue growth for TV Guide Magazine and OpenGate Media Group,” said Fishman. “We’ve created this important new position because Grayle has an outstanding record launching digital and mobile products, managing a digital sales staff, and partnering successfully with other media companies.”
Prior to assuming his new position, Howlett worked at North American Media Group as group publisher overseeing a variety of publications including The History Channel Magazine. Before that, he was President of Blackbook Media and publisher of both Radar and Tracks. Howlett also spent 16 years at Sports Illustrated rising to Associate Publisher. He is an ardent follower of soccer and co-hosted the soccer chat show “Over the Ball with Kevin Flynn” on SiriusXM Radio.
