Kent Ebersole named VP and General Manager of Outdoor Group at Active Interest Media
Jeff Tkach also named Group Publisher of Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times
Boulder, CO – August 26, 2014 — Active Interest Media today announced several high-level changes to its leadership team. Kent Ebersole, former Group Publisher of AIM’s Outdoor Group, is returning to the company as the Outdoor Group’s Vice President and General Manager. He was most recently CEO of the Dirty Girl Mud Run event franchise.

The current Outdoor Group Publisher, Jeff Tkach, has been named Group Publisher of Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times. “We are also delighted that Jeff will take the helm as Group Publisher of Yoga Journal and Vegetarian Times,” says Clurman. “With his deep publishing experience and devotion to the healthy living industry and lifestyle, he will bring these two marquee brands to the next level.”
The company also announced several other top level promotions and changes: Jonathan Dorn, Senior Vice President of Content and Product Development, currently in charge of edit, design, and digital direction and staff for the Outdoor and Home Groups, will expand his role to now include the Equine Group and AIM Studios. Equine Group Publisher Dave Andrick has been promoted to VP Group Publisher with responsibility for sales and marketing of his group’s brands. Joanna Shaw, Group Publisher of Better Nutrition and Amazing Wellness, adds Clean Eating to her portfolio. Having completed his work in integrating the marketing and events staffs of the Outdoor and Mountain Groups, Allen Crolius will turn his full focus to the Mountain Group as its VP of Sales and Marketing. Acquired last June, the rapidly growing Mountain Group is headlined by SKi, Skiing, and Warren Miller Films.
