Joshua Topolsky leaves The Verge to become Chief Digital Content Officer at Bloomberg
The co-founder of The Verge, Josh Topolsky, is leaving the online tech site to become Chief Digital Content Officer at Bloomberg. The move creates a bit of a reshuffling as Nilay Patel, who has been acting managing editor of Vox.com, will now return to The Verge to replace Topolsky.
Topolsky was editor-in-chief of the tech site Engadget from 2008 to March of 2011. The Verge was launched in November of 2011.
Topolsky will report to Josh Tyrangiel, editor of Bloomberg Businessweek, and Justin Smith, chief executive of the Bloomberg media group.
