Andy Wright named the new publisher at The New York Times Magazine
The New York Times today announced that they had promoted Andy Wright to publisher of The New York Times Magazine. Wright retains his position as vice president, advertising. (So, is this story really about the property downsizing a position?)
Wright is a Times veteran, having started at the company in 1997. Wright leads the cross-platform technology, telecommunications, finance, real estate and automotive category teams, and manages The Times’s national sales offices in San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta.
“Andy is an exceptional leader with the experience and commitment needed to guide The New York Times Magazine’s advertising business as it begins its transformation under new editorial leadership,” said Meredith Kopit Levien, executive vice president, advertising.
