Hacktivist group Anonymous target ISIS, accuse Al Jazeera of lending supporting to group
The Internet hacking group Anonymous yesterday said that it would now be targeting ISIS (the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria) after the hacker organization had their own Twitter account hacked by ISIS.
Anonymous also said that they will be targeting those media and government organizations that that are supporting ISIS, including the Al Jazeera news network.
“Al Jazeera, you have tarnished your reputation by spewing your lies and your treasonous support to ISIS. You will not escape us,” an Anonymous spokesman said in its video message.
Others accused of lending support to ISIS, which has declared a Caliphate in northern Iraq, include Saudi Arabia.
