Former Salon.com editor Kerry Lauerman joins The Washington Post to lead new mobile initiative
The Washington Post announced that it had they were bringing Kerry Lauerman onboard in a senior editor role to lead a new mobile initiative. Lauerman was previously editor-in-chief of Salon.com before leaving last year for a start-up.
The Post gave away very little information about its mobile initiative, though one guesses it will not involve animals. (The Dodo was launched in January with this column from Lauerman.)
“Kerry’s strong editing skills, the vast range of his experience, and his time spent building new products and luring new readers make him especially well-equipped for an initiative focused on the fast-growing mobile readership. Kerry brings to our mobile ambitions the perfect blend of innovation and journalistic chops, as well as a collaborative spirit,” the Post said.
