The Economist issues update to iPad app to fix subscription bug

Readers using the iPad app have been complaining since the last update in February about the ability to download and access issues. “I already paid for my subscription,” wrote one reader. “Please lose the ads. I am stuck in Cartier world and cannot get to the latest issue.”
The app description says that this current “update fixes automatic downloading of new issues of The Economist when they become available.”
