Active Interest Media promotes Patricia Fox to Executive Vice President of Operations

Boulder, CO – March 25, 2014 — Active Interest Media (AIM, www.aimmedia.com) today announced that Patricia Fox, former Senior Vice President and General Manager of AIM’s Healthy Living Group, was promoted to Executive Vice President of Operations. In her new position, Fox will lead AIM’s consumer marketing and audience development, manufacturing and production, newsstand marketing and distribution, international licensing, public relations, and research.
AIM has also announced it has hired Kim Paulsen as Vice President and General Manager of AIM’s Healthy Living Group (HLG), and Jason Brown as Vice President of Digital Content. As AIM’s new GM of the HLG Group, Paulsen will be in charge of the division’s magazines, custom content, websites, events, and e-commerce brands that include Yoga Journal, Vegetarian Times, Better Nutrition, Amazing Wellness, Muscle & Performance, Clean Eating, Oxygen, and Muscle Mag.
Paulsen was formerly a Senior Vice President at Penton Media in charge of Penton Marketing Services, including web, content and automated marketing offerings that ran across Penton’s entire portfolio. She directly ran their technology, marketing and digital communications divisions where she transitioned print-centric publications into robust online and events communities that generated more than 50% of the these three divisions $50 million in revenue. Prior to that, she was President of New Hope Natural Media’s publishing division, publisher of Delicious! Magazine. She began her career at Rodale Press where she worked on the launch of Rodale’s Scuba Diving Magazine.
AIM has also named Jason Brown Vice President and General Manager of Digital, a newly created position. Brown will lead AIM’s development of multi-media platforms, audience, and new revenue models for the company.
Brown was most recently Chief Digital Officer at George Little Management, where he was in charge of all digital initiatives for GLM Shows including Websites, Databases and the launch of the 365 platform, an industry leading online product directory. Brown was formerly Vice President of Digital Media at UBM Canon. He has also held senior management positions at various media companies, including Director of E-Media at Penton Media, Co-Founder and Publisher at XBOX365, and Associate Publisher at Windows & .NET Magazine.
