Scott White appointed VP, Content Strategy & Business Development by PostMedia Network
White was most recently Editor-in-Chief of The Canadian Press where he oversaw the transformation of the news agency from a print-based organization to a multimedia content provider
TORONTO, Ontario – March 17, 2014 — Postmedia Network is pleased to announce the appointment of Scott White to the newly created position of VP, Content Strategy & Business Development.
“Scott brings an impressive background in content creation to Postmedia,” said Lou Clancy, Senior Vice President, Content. “Our content strategy is a cornerstone of the strategic direction at Postmedia. Scott will work closely with key areas of the business to accelerate a robust native advertising and branded content strategy to open up new audience and revenue opportunities.”
In this new role, Mr. White will lead the development of content strategies for native advertising and branded content across all platforms and explore new partnerships and opportunities in these content verticals.
Prior to joining Postmedia, Mr. White was most recently Editor-in-Chief of The Canadian Press where, over the past 15 years, he oversaw the transformation of the news agency from a print-based organization to a multimedia content provider. Mr. White holds a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management.
Mr. White joins Postmedia on March 24, 2014.
