Haymarket and PennWell update B2B magazine apps for iOS 7
Marketing and Oil & Gas Journal get updates to Newsstand app
Yyesterday was rather light on app updates as Apple released a series of updates to its own software including a security fix to Mavericks and a new version of iTunes.
Today, however, a bunch of B2B magazine app updates were released.
Haymarket’s Marketing received an update to add support for iOS 7. The update also improves the quality of the cover shots used for retina screen devices.
Marketing requires a paid subscription of £12.99 for a 3 months, or £25.99 for 6 months. Individual issues are available for £4.99.
PennWell, the Tulsa, Oklahoma based B2B, released an update for Oil & Gas Journal Magazine that also is iOS 7 related. The update also improves sharing capabilities, according to the app description.
OGJ is also a paid circulation magazine, but one with an odd pricing scheme. Online one can subscribe to OGJ for $69 a year and receive the print edition – or, one can get a digital edition for $49. But in the Apple Newsstand PennWell is charging $89.99 for an annual subscription and $9.99 for individual issues. This is all the more odd when you consider that the tablet edition is a replica.
