Source Interlink Media names Scott Dickey its new CEO
In reshuffle, former CEO Michael L. Sullivan to focus on his role as CEO of Source Distribution
The Los Angeles based publisher of Motor Trend, Source Interlink Media, announced today the appointment of Scott P. Dickey as its Chief Executive Officer. Dickey replaces Michael L. Sullivan, who will continue to serve as CEO of Source Distribution.
“The Board of Directors is delighted to have Scott lead the Source Interlink Media business,” Chairman of the Board Ted S. Lodge said in the announcement. “Scott is a seasoned and broad-based executive with significant experience in the traditional and digital media industries, live events, brand licensing and consumer products. He is ideally qualified to lead the company and drive innovation in these critical next stages of its growth and expansion.”
Competitor Group is a PE-owned media company, and so is Source Interlink Media, being majority-controlled by Golden Tree Asset Management – so for Dickey it will be jumping from one frying pan into another.
Dickey has spent his career at Southern California publishers, having been previously President of Transworld Media when it was owned by Time Inc, before its sale to Bonnier in 2007. Dickey has also held positions with The Walt Disney Company and the National Basketball Association.
