Apple and Adobe issue updates for key productivity software
You may want to set aside some time this evening or tomorrow morning to download some of the major updates just released.
Apple has issued updaters to its iWorks programs, as well as iMovie.
Keynote comes, now at version 6.1, comes with new transitions and the ability to create charts with date, time and duration values. Numbers, now at version 3.1, improves sorting. Pages, at version 5.1, now has its vertical ruler and can set keyboard shortcuts for style. All three now allow for sharing password-protected documents via iCloud link. (See screenshot for full list of changes.)
The same three iWork apps were also updated for iOS.
Adobe updated both InDesign CC and Photoshop CC last week.
The update for InDesign installs new Typekit desktop fonts, ePub interactivity features, and improvements to hyperlink creation and management. The Photoshop update includes several new features including Prospective Warp for adjusting the perspective of part of an image while keeping the rest intact.
The good news is that none of the updates require a restart, and they all downloaded incredibly quick. Good luck!
