Schiller joins Evolve Media from Hearst Digital Media where he most recently served as Chief Sales Officer

Press Release:

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – January 13, 2014 — Evolve Media LLC., an integrated digital media company focused on enthusiast publishing, announced today that digital sales veteran Geoff Schiller will join the company as Chief Revenue Officer. Filling the inaugural role in Evolve’s New York office, Schiller will oversee revenue operations, brand positioning and partnerships across the CraveOnline Media and TotallyHer Media publishing divisions.

With nearly fifteen years of sales and management experience, Schiller joins Evolve Media from Hearst Digital Media where he most recently served as Chief Sales Officer. During his tenure, Schiller oversaw national sales efforts focused on monetizing Hearst’s portfolio of more than 20 digital properties including Cosmopolitan.com, Harpersbazaar.com, Housebeautiful.com, Marieclaire.com and Goodhousekeeping.com. Schiller also worked to build strategic partnerships with vendors, successfully marketing exclusive to Hearst offerings with companies like Buddy Media and Pictela. A proven sales leader throughout his career, Schiller’s sales strategies delivered significant yearly revenue growth to Hearst Digital Media, culminating with the largest single revenue month in the history of the division in September 2013. Prior to his time at Hearst, Schiller spent two years at People Magazine, first as Advertising Sales Manager and later as Eastern Ad Director. His early career included sales positions at USATODAY.com, the Excite Network and E! Online.

Last fall, Schiller was appointed to the Folio100, Folio Magazine’s prestigious list of top innovators and entrepreneurial thinkers in the media industry. An active member in the advertising community, he is currently beginning his second term as President of the Board of Directors for 212 NYC, New York’s largest Interactive Advertising Association.

“We couldn’t have asked for a better way to start the New Year than with Geoff at the helm of our revenue operations,” said Brian Fitzgerald, President and Co-Founder of Evolve Media. “Given his deep experience selling digital publishing, an impressive management record and his outstanding client relationships, Geoff will be instrumental in our continued growth and success.”

“I am beyond thrilled to join this amazing team of entrepreneurial, digital trailblazers at Evolve Media. In today’s crowded media landscape, Evolve Media truly stands out in its ability to uniquely qualify content through its proprietary technology built to identify people’s varied interests—effectively presenting the right content, to the right person, at the right time,” said Schiller. “When combined with branded content integration and best-in-class advertising solutions, our suite of capabilities becomes a very powerful and exciting tool for us to offer—and for brand partners to leverage.”
